Greetings from Alaska

No recent updates for a while as I’ve been spending a fair chunk of the summer months either at the canvas or travelling. The most recent trip covered Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, Washington and eventually Alaska with plenty of new landscape sketch ideas and photo’s to work from which are now taking form back in my studio.

In Montana – visiting family and got to spend a little time getting the guided tour of their wonderful ranch which is nestled in a scenic valley just outside Bozeman, below.

My sketchbook filled up quickly around the NW region and on reaching Alaska, it was time to buy another one.

Below is a postcard watercolor 'sketch' I completed of the dynamic Glacier National Bay. Here you can watch huge receding glaciers periodically carve off icy masses into the frigid water in this wondefully inspirational environment.
